Стали известны характеристики высококлассной материнской платы P7P55D-E Premium от ASUSTeK Computer. Наиболее выдающейся ее особенностью, пожалуй, можно считать поддержку нового интерфейса USB 3.0. ASUS P7P55D-E Premium оснащена чипом NEC D720200F1, который и обеспечивает работу с USB 3.0, два таких разъема выведены на заднюю панель.

Данная материнская плата предназначена для процессоров в исполнении LGA1156 - Intel Core i7 и Core i5. Она построена на основе чипсета Intel P55. ASUS P7P55D-E Premium, благодаря четырем слотам, поддерживает до 16 Гб оперативной памяти DDR3 2200/1600/1333/1066 МГц.

Что касается портов, то в их числе - 10xUSB 2.0 (4 внутренних и 6 внешних), 2xRJ45, IEEE1394a, PS/2 для клавиатуры и мыши, коаксиальный и оптический S/PDIF выходы, 6xSATA 3 Гбит/с и 2xSATA 6 Гбит/с, 2xPCI Express 2.0 x16, 2xPCI Express 2.0 x1 и 2xPCI. Кроме этого, плата поддерживает 10 канальное аудио, а также технологии NVIDIA SLI Quad и ATI CrossFireX Quad. Пока не ясно, когда ASUS P7P55D-E Premium поступит в продажу, но, скорее всего, уже скоро.
